Experienced Bar Staff / Bartender – Full-time evening shifts

A busy bar, craft beer, cocktails, coffee, and guests who want to be served quickly: does that sound like your pace? For a well-known and busy hospitality establishment in the heart of Amsterdam, we are looking for an experienced bartender who combines speed with hospitality and quality.

You will end up in a lively hospitality establishment with a large terrace and a cozy conservatory. The guests are a mix of locals, students, and international visitors. The pace is often high, but the team is close-knit, informal, and used to working together to get things done.

The bar forms the beating heart of the establishment. You assist guests at the bar, process orders from the service staff, and ensure that all drinks are prepared quickly and correctly.

Pouring beer and serving wine, soft drinks, coffee, and other beverages
Greet guests at the bar in a hospitable manner, assist and advise them
Advising guests about the wide range of craft beers
Process orders from the service quickly and accurately
Maintaining quality and overview even during peak moments
Preparing the bar and ensuring that all products and materials are replenished
Keeping glassware, stock, and workstations organized
Keep the bar clean and hygienic
Working closely with the service staff, kitchen, and floor manager
Contribute to a pleasant and professional atmosphere at the bar

We are looking for a strong bar staff member who is used to working in a busy establishment. You know how to keep up the pace without becoming sloppy and remain friendly and sharp even with multiple orders at the same time.

You have proven experience behind the bar
You speak Dutch fluently
A good command of English is a plus
You can pour beer and prepare various types of drinks
You have an interest in craft beer or would like to learn more about it
You are social, alert, and genuinely hospitable
You work quickly, neatly, and accurately
You can handle busy periods and multiple orders at the same time
You see for yourself what needs to be done and take responsibility
You are available full-time for 38 hours per week
You are mainly available in the evenings
You can regularly work late closing shifts and weekend shifts

You work 38 hours per week and mainly work evening shifts. The shifts are scheduled from Monday to Sunday according to a rotating hospitality schedule.

From Sunday to Wednesday, the business closes at 11:00 PM. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, it operates until 1:00 AM. Therefore, you have no problem regularly working until closing time. Occasionally, a daytime shift may also be part of your schedule.

A salary between €2,550 and €2,700 gross per month based on 38 hours, depending on your experience
On average €3 tip per hour worked, indicative and not a guaranteed employment condition
