About the job

Experienced Waitstaff – Full-time Evening Shifts

Do you get energy from a busy venue, a crowded terrace, and guests leaving with a smile? For a well-known and popular hospitality venue in the heart of Amsterdam, we are looking for an experienced waitstaff member who stands firmly on their own two feet.

About the workplace

You will end up in a lively hospitality establishment with a large terrace and a cozy conservatory. The guests are a mix of locals, students, and international visitors. The pace is often high, but the team is close-knit, informal, and used to working together to get things done.

This is a position for someone who already has experience in service, can independently manage their own section, and remains friendly, sharp, and hospitable even during peak times.

What will you do?

Warmly welcome guests, provide advice, and take orders
Independently serve your own area and multiple tables
Serve drinks and dishes correctly and efficiently
Maintain active contact with guests and respond to their needs
Quickly switch between the terrace, the conservatory, and the restaurant
Work closely with the bar and kitchen
Keep an overview and see what guests and colleagues need
Keep the workfloor neat, tidy, and hospitable
Ensuring smooth and enjoyable service together with your colleagues

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a strong hospitality worker who is used to working in a busy establishment and does not need to be told at every step what to do.

You have demonstrable experience in service
You can independently manage your own section
You speak Dutch fluently
A good command of English is a plus
You are social, energetic, and genuinely hospitable
You remain calm, friendly, and alert when it gets busy
You communicate clearly with guests and colleagues
You see for yourself what needs to be done and take responsibility
You are available full-time for 38 hours per week
You are mainly available in the evenings
You can regularly work late closing shifts and weekend shifts

Working hours

You work 38 hours per week and mainly work evening shifts. The shifts are scheduled from Monday to Sunday according to a rotating hospitality schedule.

From Sunday to Wednesday, the business closes at 11:00 PM. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, it operates until 1:00 AM. Therefore, you have no problem regularly working until closing time. Occasionally, a daytime shift may also be part of your schedule.

What can you expect?

A salary between €2,550 and €2,700 gross per month based on 38 hours, depending on your experience
On average €3 tip per hour worked, indicative and not a guaranteed employment condition
A permanent full-time position
A workplace in a top location in Amsterdam Center
A professional but informal team with short lines of communication
A pension scheme
Training and space to further develop yourself
Opportunities to advance within the hospitality industry
Company parties and a Christmas package
A lot of variety and responsibility during your shifts

Does this suit you?

No working day is the same. You work in a place that is lively, meet many different people, and immediately notice what your energy does for the guest and the team.

Are you the experienced, Dutch-speaking service staff member we are looking for? Then send your CV or a short introduction. We prefer to get to know you quickly rather than ask you for a long motivation letter.
